Patient visited by Dr.Gayatri Patankar after his successful bypass surgery and her description of event:

Jan 27/2017

Good morning everybody
This week has been a life changing experience for me …
From giving life to Mr Nilmani and inadvertently getting recognised and applauded from all my dear anaesthesiologist , family , friends and from all over India and abroad ……..
I am surprised and amused what media can do …. Make or Break You !!
By gods grace I have been lucky and I consider myself the chosen one to be instrumental in bringing back Mr Nilmani Sharmas LIFE .
Visited him and his family at seven hills hospital yesterday on our republic day and witnessed

“THE MIRACLE”

Just the 4th day after the revival incident and 2 days post cardiac bypass surgery , Mr Sharma surprised all of us by his wit and humour and his zest for life and eager to get back to his CEO status.

He chatted gallantly and laughed and cried along with his brother Ashok and wife Rupal and us & the room was a bag of emotions for all of us .

I am supremely HAPPY to witness such speedy recovery .

Alls WELL that ends WELL !!

Dr Hemant Shinde, Secretary ISA Mumbai city branch wrote :

Yesterday on request from Gayatri accompanied her to Sevenhills Hospital to meet the patient she had saved on the airport.

What a beautiful scene it was! Heart touching!

The relatives were speechless to see her and so were we! The patient for the first time heard what had happened from the saviour and was very emotional and understandably so! He had no words to explain the gratitude! What a role destiny has played in bringing in these 2 people together at such critical moment!

What would have happened if she was late in reaching there by 5 minutes? I shudder to even think!

The whole family was very thankful to Gayatri and have invited her to visit them in Ahmedabad.

There were tears in everyone’s eyes… in such moments I realised how precious life is and what an important job we are doing as an anesthesiologist !

God bless you Gayatri….

Anaesthesiologist who are known as the DIRECTOR BEHIND THE SCENE never get the limelight of for their efforts.Hope this incident opens the eyes of Union government to include Anaesthesiology as a separate subject in M.B.B.S course and introduce a National wide programme for imparting BLS skills to service providers which can save innumerable lives.

We thank the Mumbai airport administration for having the BLS providing equipments on readyhand and quickly shifting the patient to a higher centre.
